Historical center

Idnakar Settlement and Museum
The Idnakar settlement is a real archaeological monument of the Middle Ages (9th-13th centuries). The museum-reserve is located 4 km from Glazov on Mount Soldyr between the rivers Cheptsa and Pyzep.
The huge area of 4 hectares is the largest archaeological monument of the Chepetsk culture. The settlement is included in the register of archaeological monuments of federal significance.
For the most valuable exhibits from archaeological excavations on the territory of the settlement, a museum reserve was created in the city of Glazov itself.
One of the museum's features is the presence of three permanent exhibitions, the exhibits and showcases of which are regularly changed. The first one is dedicated to the nature and history of the Vyatka, Kama and Cheptsy regions. The second hall is devoted to archaeological finds. Reconstructions of the ancient settlement, models of dwellings and a burial ground are also presented here. At the third exhibition, visitors can get acquainted with the basics and subtleties of the archaeologist's work.

Alley of Courage
In 2020, on the Day of the Airborne Troops, the Alley of Courage was opened in the city of Glazov. This place is designed to preserve the memory of the courage of Glazov residents and pass it on to the younger generation. The initiators of the project were veterans and relatives of Glazov residents who died in the line of military duty.
Museum of Local Lore
The history of the Glazov Museum of Local Lore begins in November 1920. The museum has an exhibition about the life story of Pyotr Tchaikovsky, a literary and musical lounge and a permanent exhibition about the history of the city.
